Tethered (2021)

How long has it been since you last checked your phone? 5 minutes? 1 minute? 10 seconds? Did you imagine that last vibration? In 2019, that smart phone of yours - is a fixture of you - and for many in our world, they don’t even know escape is an option. Digital addiction is a hidden epidemic among us, and it has our society in a vice grip. Modern society is affected by the revolution of the smart phone in many difficult ways ranging from abuse of digital use, depression, changing family dynamics, serious hinderances to development in youth, and even total technological dependence on the devices. Our film “Tethered” addresses the trends surrounding the dependency on our smart devices, educates on the scientific reasons why this is happening, and promotes a platform for all of us to finally overcome this seemingly entrapping companion to our regular life.

Sanctuary

The passion and dream of one young lady got this wonderful non-profit off the ground. She brought with her a vision for creating sanctuary and a refuge for the companion animals that need it most. Millions of animals face the fear of death in shelters every year. Happily Ever After provides a place where those fears don't exist; a place where life is a guarantee.

Discover What's You - Quito

A capital city high in the Andes, Quito is dramatically situated, squeezed between mountain peaks whose greenery is concealed by the afternoon mist. Modern apartment buildings and modest concrete homes creep partway up their slopes, and busy commercial thoroughfares lined with shops and choked with traffic turn into peaceful neighborhoods on Sundays. Warm and relaxed, traditional Ecuadorian Sierra culture – overflowing market stands, shamanistic healers, fourth-generation hatmakers – mix with a vibrant and sophisticated culinary and nightlife scene.

25 Years - The Building for Kids Story

Established in downtown Appleton, Wisconsin in 1991, the Fox Cities Children’s Museum opened its doors in November 1992, occupying only a section of our current second floor. In 2006, the facility was expanded and completely renovated with new exhibits designed by kids for kids under the new name The Building for Kids.

The Building for Kids, Inc., is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. It is because of the generosity of the community that they are able to offer exciting exhibits, educational programming and fun family events.
